Colour intelligence · in development
Your next product line is bleeding margin.
Not because the shade is wrong. Because nobody could tell you, in the four weeks that mattered, that you already held something within ΔE2000 0.9 of the colour the internet decided it wanted.
Applications reviewed weekly · Twelve workspaces in the first cohort
What it actually costs
The shade was in the warehouse the whole time.
17 weeks
New development lead time
From brief to shelf on a shade you commission. A trend that peaks in eleven is over before the batch lands.
ΔE 0.9
The match you already own
Below ΔE2000 1.0 the eye cannot separate two colours. Most brands are one query away from a shade they never needed to make.
−$867K
Markdown on one declining SKU
Margin given up against selling at full price, on stock nobody flagged while the signal was still turning.
None of this is a data problem. The trend was visible, the inventory was known, and the two were never put in the same sentence in time to act on them.
The mechanism
Vhue puts them in the same sentence.
- 01
Capture the colour, not the caption
You capture what you are already looking at — the desktop extension reads the pixels straight from your screen, or you upload a screenshot. The shade comes out of those pixels as hex, RGB and CIELAB, rather than being inferred from what someone tagged it.
- 02
Match it against what you hold
Every shade in your catalogue carries its own Lab values. The distance between a trend and your stock is a ΔE2000 figure, not an opinion: exact, near, adjacent, reformulate, or genuinely new development.
- 03
Price the decision before you make it
The Margin Engine models the run — units, revenue, gross margin, marketing spend — and returns one figure: margin from acting, less the baseline of not acting. It refuses to model inverted economics rather than return a number that flatters.
The product, in thirty seconds
Watch a shade get priced.
Film rendering
Thirty seconds: a shade entered, its CIELAB values computed, its margin approved against live trend velocity.
The 50-SKU Pilot
Bring fifty shades. We will tell you what they are worth.
Vhue is releasing soon, to a small first cohort. A pilot workspace tracks up to fifty shades — a flagship range and a supporting line — against every trend the platform is following, with the full Margin Engine behind it.
Applications are reviewed, not queued. We take brands we can measurably help.
